The location is the main thing going for this property, about a five minute walk to Hawa Beach and Kovalam Beach. Our room was spacious, had a balcony, and the AC worked well, but the property itself isn't well maintained. There were mosquitoes and bugs, the pool wasn't clean, and there were no staff for room service. A security guard seemed to be the only person looking after guests and handling basic needs. The two buildings are across the road from each other. We got a pool view room, but the main building doesn't have a pool view, so confirm which building you're booking with the hotel. The restaurant is run by someone else, and the food wasn't tasty. Keep expectations low; the location is its only real selling point.

The atmosphere was peaceful, and service felt smooth and professional. The rooms were tidy, clean, and well cared for, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. Staff were polite and attentive, with excellent customer care. A good choice for a pleasant, hassle-free stay.

We had booked two rooms in advance, but on arrival the staff seemed confused and took nearly half an hour to hand them over. The pool shown in the pictures isn't on the same property, it's across the road at their restaurant. There was no parking, and the area was very congested. The rooms and bathrooms were outdated and unclean, and we found a large spider in the room. The place felt very shady and unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and wish I could give zero stars.

Only about 150 metres from the beach, with large rooms that were clean, though old-fashioned. It's a comfortable budget hotel in a nice location. Don't expect anything lavish.

The rooms were clean, good, and spacious, and I really liked the balcony as a place to relax. Moonlight Hotel Kovalam is just a one minute walk from the beach, handy for quick visits anytime. It's on the main road to the beach, close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. There's also an auto and taxi stand nearby, which makes getting around easy.
