Hotel Villa Maryam

They keep changing the prices for offline bookings, and the cleanliness was disappointing. The toilets were dirty, and there was cigarette residue around the windows. I was also surprised that they don’t offer even basic drinking water, not even a complimentary bottle on arrival. They charge ₹20 per litre instead. Other places at least have a bottle or a shared water filter. Poor service and very little basic hospitality.

I stayed at Hotel Villa Maryam for two nights, and the second room was lovely, clean, and well maintained. The staff member quickly moved me there for night two after a bad first night in room 202. That room looked clean on the surface, but at around 2:45 AM I woke with scratches all over my body. I suspect bedbugs. Reception suggested they might have come through an open window, but I had to point out that keeping the room secure from pests isn’t the guest’s responsibility. I had no issues in the new room and was comfortable after the move. I hope management checks all the rooms for pests and secures the windows, so cleanliness is consistent. People travel far from home, and that’s a basic part of a comfortable stay.

We had a lovely family celebration yesterday for my Brother's wedding anniversary at Hotel Villa Maryam. The meeting room was a highlight, cozy, private, and well-equipped for our gathering. Our rooms were spacious, neat, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The courteous, attentive staff helped everything go smoothly from check-in through the celebration. Thanks to the Hotel Villa Maryam team for helping us make such beautiful memories. Might be fine for one quick night, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay. The rooms are small and only just functional, while damp corridors and visible wall seepage make the place feel rundown. Cleanliness could be better too: the cups were quite dirty, and the extra plates we requested never arrived despite assurances. The in-house restaurant had few choices and was on the expensive side.
