The room was poorly maintained, and dirty water kept flowing through it all day. There was no drinking water or toiletries either. Before that, I had trouble finding the place because the app showed the wrong location. The male caretaker wasn’t helpful and came across as rude, while the lady receptionist seemed unwilling to get up from the sofa to help and treated everything very casually. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had recently.

We stayed from oct 18-19, and the room hadn’t even been swept after the previous guests. There was hair and sand on the floor. We asked for water bottles, were told to refill from the dispenser, then asked again in the morning and were told there was no water. They also said toiletries, a brush and soap, weren’t available on Sunday. The person attending the hotel was Mr. Anand. Sweeping takes only a few minutes, and toiletries cost 50rs. Makes you wonder about the rest.

The stay in Calicut was really peaceful, and the rooms were clean. There was no smell of alcohol or cigarettes, and everything felt just right. The management was kind and helpful, especially Hakim. He welcomed me warmly and helped whenever I had a question or needed something. He showed that a positive attitude and kind gestures matter more than language.

After the long journey we were exhausted, otherwise we would have packed up and left. The place had a really poor feel, and the rooms were dirty. The mats by the toilets were wet and dripping with water, but even after several requests they wouldn’t replace them. There were cockroaches, dirty blankets, and almost no service. The receptionist wouldn’t even send anyone to carry our bags up two floors, and with no lift my parents had to use the stairs. Apparently there’s one towel per room, and they were reluctant to give us extra towels or soap. I don’t know when the mattress and blankets were last deep-cleaned. My sister’s allergy flared up and she became swollen. She took extra medication, and if that hadn’t helped, we’d have ended up in the emergency room in the middle of the night.
