Those sunset views were the highlight, and arriving by a two-minute boat ride from the car park felt like entering paradise. The resort buildings and rooms have lovely traditional Kerala heritage details, especially the corridors and ceilings. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well looked after, and the staff were welcoming throughout. The restaurant had a strong range of healthy choices, with a particularly good breakfast buffet of tasty, nutritious dishes. The pool was very clean, and there were some indoor games too. Boat trips and Ayurvedic massages can be arranged for an extra charge.

The view was the part of our two-night stay we liked most, and the restaurant was decent, with generous portions though the food could have tasted better. Overall, it felt like an average resort for a high price, with quite a few ups and downs. The car park is a couple of minutes away, so guests have to take a short boat ride. That’s inconvenient if you need something from the car quickly. Our suite was okay, but the bathroom door often wouldn’t stay shut unless we bolted it, and the TV sometimes didn’t work. The internet was very slow too, which caused problems when we checked out.

We kept ordering lunch and dinner here throughout our stay because the food was so good. We had worried it might be hard to find North Indian style dishes in Kerala, but everything tasted fresh, full of flavor, and suited our tastes. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful, and the service was excellent. The food, atmosphere, and hospitality all went beyond what we expected. We loved it and would highly recommend a visit.

We spent both days here without going anywhere else, and the quiet, lakeside setting made that easy. From the chairs by the shore, we watched boats pass, birds play, and gentle waves roll in. The atmosphere was serene and helped us feel at peace. I’ve stayed by the sea before and found the salty, humid air unpleasant, so after this stay I’d always choose the lake over the sea. The staff were lovely, and our room was cleaned daily. The pool was well maintained and lit, with a separate pool for kids. There was also a small play area, an air-conditioned recreation room with table tennis, carrom, and other board games, plus an open yoga platform facing the lake. They explained in advance that the small restaurant kitchen needed lunch and dinner orders early so they could plan. I appreciated that honesty, as well as their flexibility about ordering from outside. When we added extra items later, the food took a long time, which we could understand given the situation. We didn’t try the boat ride they offer. The stay felt therapeutic, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to rest, sit back, and enjoy the silence. I also liked that they never pressured us to leave a review.
