Karma Chakra

The resort is beautiful, and the service, rooms, and architecture make good use of the scenic surroundings. We stayed for 2 nights, and most of it was pleasant, but the sales pitch on day two spoiled a big part of the break. We had come for a short, peaceful stay and were approached in person to promote another property. We got pulled into a long discussion when we should have been enjoying our limited time. If they need to promote sales, they should contact guests by email or phone beforehand. To find out the rates, we had to sit through the whole pitch, and when we declined, they asked us to sign paperwork saying we weren't interested. That was unnecessary and unprofessional. In all my travels, including Vietnam and Signature Bali, I've never encountered this sort of sales approach. It seems to happen mainly at some Indian properties and should be reconsidered. This pressure needs to stop.

Among the Karma properties, this is one of my favourites. It's decently priced, and the staff are well mannered and ready to help. Joe from the service team was especially nice at breakfast, getting my order quickly and just the way I wanted it.

The setting is right on the lake, with an open view of the water. The resort's unusual design includes water flowing beneath the walkways. Rooms are spacious and well furnished, with plenty of natural light and balconies looking out over part of the lake. The restaurant serves excellent food, and its staff are very good. Reception and housekeeping were helpful and responsive too. There are also a small pool, a small gym, recreational areas, and outdoor seating by the lake.

The lakeside restaurant serves excellent food, and the location is fantastic. Staff were courteous and kind throughout, while staying thoroughly professional. A wonderful resort.
