Baymaas Lake house

Baymaas means Baby Amma’s house, and there's a whole wall devoted to her life and memories. I love when a stay has a story, and you can feel how much care and warmth went into honoring their matriarch. It's a unique hidden gem, with lake access, a private pool and beautiful rooms. I hope it stays that way, hosting only those who deserve the place.

We arrived quite late, but one of the staff was waiting for us and made check-in easy. Throughout our one-day stay at BaymaasLakehouse, we felt comfortable and relaxed. It's a three-villa resort, well maintained, very clean and luxurious, with a peaceful, lovely atmosphere created by the staff. Chef Aji was always ready to help, and the food was delicious. He and the team were kind and attentive, and the menu had lots of choice and great value for the quality. The chef is always smiling and seems to do everything, and you can feel the team works with one heart. It was a memorable stay with warm hospitality and a lovely ambience. We'd recommend Baymass to friends and family and would love to return.

For groups of more than ten, you can book the whole resort. It's a lovely, well-kept property with great service, and breakfast is included and very good. The other food is delicious too, from lunch and dinner to evening tea snacks. Try the empanadas, onion pakoras, biriyani, appam, idiyappam and stew, or fried karimeen and kalanchi.

The courteous staff, tasty food and pleasant ambience made our stay excellent. Baymaas is a great escape from the city rush, out on the edges of Kochi, with a well-kept property looking over the peaceful backwaters.
