Treebo Trend CMKs Gulmohar Suites

For the price, I was impressed and happy with the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds large and the toilet decent, and room service was good. My room's AC was leaking, but they fixed it quickly. WiFi is slow at 2 Mbps, and the lift is quite small. Parking is tricky since there's no space on site, so you have to leave the car on the road. Other than that, no complaints.

The rooms are good, but we stayed for 4 days and the bathrooms stayed blocked the whole time, despite never clearing. The AC filter was clogged too, and they didn't service it even after I told them. Assistance was unresponsive. The staff didn't speak English or Malayalam, only Hindi, and even that was difficult for them to understand. It's near VPS Lakeshore hospital, but at about 1.2k per night, it isn't worth the price.

We had breakfast included, but there was only one option, and they told us the tea and coffee had run out. Staff didn't explain that basic items might not be available, and communication was poor. They said guests could make their own tea or coffee, but didn't provide the information clearly. When we called customer care, they told us to read the rules on the website. The support was very unfriendly, and staff kept telling us to read things without giving us the information. One of the worst hotel experiences I've had.

The bathroom was a mess: poor water pressure, water collecting while bathing, and cockroach eggs still on the walls. The toilet was unclean and smelly, apparently because there was no ventilation. They refused to clean the room daily even when I asked. Breakfast was included in the booking, but there was no breakfast option at all, and there weren't good restaurants or other facilities nearby. Taxis were easy to find because of the nearby hospital. The photos are stretched, so the rooms look bigger than they are. The reality was very bad. At a lower price it might be acceptable, but for what they charge it's worthless. The place seems more suited to hospital patients and their attendants than a hotel, and the cost is too high compared with good hotels. I booked online by mistake; after seeing the room, I asked to cut my stay from 3 nights to 1, but they refused and wanted another day's charge even though I wouldn't stay. The location also felt unsafe to walk to at night, so take a cab or taxi and get dropped right at the property. There was no clean bathroom, and the whole experience was really screwed up.
