The host's guidance made a real difference. He has over 25 years of experience in this business and arranged bookings for Kathakali and martial arts shows, making sure we got the best seats. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the location was excellent. He was very friendly and welcoming. If you're visiting Thekkady, this is definitely the place I'd choose. One of the best experiences on our trip, highly recommended.

The owner went out of their way to accommodate our request, and the atmosphere was very warm. The rooms, bathroom and surroundings were neat and very clean. It's close to the Main Street and Bus Stop, about 5 Mins. away.

Mr. Niteesh was a highlight of our stay. He was warm, kind and incredibly helpful, with spot-on advice about what to visit and what to avoid. He timed our Elephant Junction visit, including the elephant shower and ride, so we faced minimal crowds. He also booked our Kathakali and Kalari shows with front-row seats, and suggested sightseeing stops on the way to Alleppey that were absolutely worth it. The location made getting around easy. The homestay is within walking distance of the Elephant Camp, Periyar Wildlife bus parking, cultural theatre and local market. Food hubs and shops nearby made evening strolls through the lively market easy, without needing transport. Our room was spacious, extremely comfortable and impeccably clean. Cleanliness throughout the property, including the washrooms, stood out. Each room has a private sit-out where you can have tea, chat or take in the peaceful views of trees and quiet roads in the pleasant climate. The property is beautifully maintained, and its décor brings authentic traditional Kerala vibes to every corner, capturing the feel of Thekkady. Kairali Palace Homestay felt like a home away from home. We'd read the reviews before booking, and the praise was deserved. The experience met and exceeded our expectations. I'd highly recommend Kairali Palace Homestay to anyone visiting Thekkady, and wouldn't hesitate to choose it again. Go ahead without a second thought, you won't be disappointed. 🌿✨
