I picked this hotel for the staff’s friendly behavior and the value for money. I paid 1800 per night for two people, even in peak holiday season, and the staff guided us to tourist spots. The room was spacious for the price, with a working TV, soap, towels, and water bottles. Hot water was available anytime. There’s car parking and a North Indian vegetarian restaurant inside the hotel gate, though the hotel itself has no in-house restaurant and breakfast isn’t included. Plenty of places to eat are within walking distance. Major sights are close: the boat house ticket counter is 240m away, elephant camp is 300m away, and Jeep safari booking is just opposite. The mobile number listed on Google doesn’t work, but the one on Just Dial works fine.

We were allowed to check in early at 11 AM after asking, even though the official time was 2 PM, and the staff were good. Michaels Inn is near Thekkady boating and Bamboo Grove, with a perfect location. The rooms are clean, neat, and aesthetic. They’re a little small, but very comfortable, and there’s lots of parking. VeganJali Hotel inside offers nice, tasty food. Highly recommended!

A clean hotel in an excellent location, with the market nearby. Periyar National Park bus stop, Katathakkali, and the Kalaripattu show are all within walking distance. There’s a pure vegetarian restaurant on the premises and plenty of pure veg choices nearby.
