Mourya Lords Inn, Kurnool

We chose Mourya Inn, Kurnool as a stop on our Delhi to Bangalore road trip to avoid driving late at night between Hyderabad and Bangalore. It was a comfortable, hygienic stay, and I'd recommend it as a stopover. We booked a Superior Room, which was clean and comfortable, with good lighting and a pleasant feel. Hygiene was well maintained in the room and washroom, which was neat and stocked with necessary toiletries. It's a well-maintained 3-star hotel with good amenities. Food was tasty overall, though the curry was a little oily. The fruit salad with ice cream was refreshing and delicious, and the complimentary breakfast was good too.

The breakfast was excellent, with a really large spread. I stayed here in transit. The rooms and bathroom were clean and good, though a shower screen would help keep the whole bathroom from getting wet. Restaurant food was okay, but a bit spicy for my taste.

The Pure veg restaurant was the best part of my stay. Breakfast had plenty of options, tasted great, and the restaurant staff were polite and efficient. Everything else was fine, too, except for the rate at check-in. I’d already paid the full amount, but was told management had raised the price and I had to pay more. Since I booked independently, I felt a hotel booking portal might have prevented that increase.

The rooms and washroom were clean, and the whole team, from reception through the dining hall, was polite, courteous, and professional. It’s an older property, but it’s being looked after well. Thanks especially to Mr. Shoibh Akthar at reception for arranging our room in advance over the phone. That helped a lot during the festive season, when the hotel was full. The staff were cordial and service was good. We’ll definitely come back.
