The Woods Retreat

It’s quiet here, without the noise you get at overcrowded hill stations, and the views from the lovely rooms are all trees and sky. There’s plenty of landscaped space to wander around, and it’s an easy enough drive from Delhi. I especially liked that it’s pet friendly. On Saturday night there was a live duo by the bonfire, and their evening pahadi chai won me over even though I’m not usually a chai person. The staff were courteous and friendly, and the food was mostly good for a hill station. A couple of small things could be better: one more bonfire pit would help on a winter night, and breakfast could improve a bit. Since it’s pet friendly, an indoor restaurant section where pets are allowed would be welcome too, because it gets so chilly outside. Still, I loved almost everything about the place.

Kanchan hosted us so graciously, and dining here was top notch. Breakfast was just mid, but the rest of the food was amazing. It’s a lovely property and not too expensive. From the cottages, the views are breathtaking, and it’s so quiet you can look up at a sky full of stars. The drive is worth it if you want a relaxing weekend away in this area.

We felt at home as soon as we checked in, thanks to the warm staff and the cozy bed. The room amenities were top notch, and the location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and public transport. The front desk team went out of their way to meet our needs. The rooms were clean, which helped with our two little ones running around. We were thoroughly impressed with our stay and will come back and recommend it to friends and family.

The rooms were very clean and the food was excellent. We spent five lovely days at the resort, and the staff were always helpful and smiling. Special kudos to Sohan, Pritam, Deepika, Sakshi, and all the others. We’ll definitely come back for another holiday.
