Lavasa Holiday Home (Lakeview)

The owner, Mr and Mrs malhotra, were so friendly and caring. I loved spending time here with friends, and the place felt peaceful, with fresh air. The interior is beautiful, with antique pieces, and the property is very clean. It’s surrounded by a boganvilla compound wall. I’d recommend a visit if you want some quiet.

In daylight, Lavasa Hill Station is beautiful, with green hillsides, a clear lake and charming architecture. The streets have a lively feel while tourists are around, and the scenery makes for a peaceful visit. After dark, though, it changes a lot. Once the crowds thin out, especially after 7 PM, the town can feel eerie and nearly empty. Many buildings are unoccupied, the streets are almost deserted, and there isn’t enough street lighting. Around the lake, shadows make the paths harder to see. Walking there at night felt uncomfortable to me, with the silence making every sound stand out and familiar landmarks hidden in the dark. It can leave you feeling isolated and vulnerable. Lavasa offers a calm retreat by day, but visitors should think about how comfortable they are in a quiet, sparsely populated place after sunset. If you’re after nightlife or a busy evening scene, there may not be much for you, particularly in off-peak periods.

We loved our stay and felt it was well worth the money. The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated, and extremely well maintained. It has a lake view and sits opposite the water sports complex, with eateries and the centre within walking distance. Everything needed for a stay is provided, apart from perishable food. The staff and caretaker were polite and helpful.

Finding food or getting a delivery can be difficult after 9.30 pm. Apart from that, Foresta apartment was a wonderful visit. The balcony view of the lake ringed by hills, with a cold breeze all around, was fabulous. The interior decor is very attractive, the living areas are spacious, and the property is well maintained. It’s calm, well located and not too expensive. The owner, caretaker and staff were all courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.
