Hotel Ladakh Retreat

The evening was especially nice, with a campfire and tea arranged for us. Our room was spacious and had a good balcony, and the staff were very helpful throughout. They also packed breakfast for our early flight. A pleasant stay at Ladakh retreat.

There was no room service food available, the kettle was dirty, and the TV remote didn't work. The room had no heating, just a table fan. I can't understand how this is considered a four-star property. Absolutely the worst experience.

We stayed one night, from 19th May to 20th May 2026, with my wife and 13-year-old daughter before our morning flight. The hotel is quiet and has a huge garden, though it’s a bit far from Leh market and a cab costs Rs. 300. The building looks old but was reasonably maintained. It’s a big property, but seemed understaffed. When we arrived around 2.30 pm, there wasn’t proper reception staff, so a junior support staff member checked us in. Our first-floor room was large enough for the three of us, with a king-size bed, clean room and bathroom, and a huge balcony with a beautiful view. Staff carried our luggage and were courteous and helpful throughout. We had the breakfast-only package. There was a good spread, including Chhole Bhature, Pohe, omelet, bread, Corn Flakes, fruit, tea, and coffee, and it tasted very good. For dinner we ordered Masal Maggie in the room, and it was the best Maggie we had in all of Ladakh. The hotel also has a small swimming pool, but it wasn't operating.

Mr. Pama was especially cooperative, and the service was superb. The room was neat and clean, and both room service and food were excellent. A must stay when visiting Leh.
