Hotel Wang Residency

The food was delicious, and they take your preferences into account. Linens were very hygienic, and the manager and staff were cooperative and always ready to help with a smile. It's a cozy, newly constructed budget hotel on Old road Leh, about 500 mtrs from the main city. Some rooms have a good view. Breakfast and dinner are included, and I would recommend staying here in Leh.

A friend became seriously unwell while we were away on our second last day, and the staff at Hotel White Yak took care of her like family. They arranged her hospital admission, pickup and drop, and meals on time, while manager Gaurav visited her personally. They charged us nothing extra for the food or transport. I could write an essay about everything the staff did for us. We spent 5N there on a MAP package, with two rooms, one double and one triple sharing. The rooms were large and spacious, and decent for the price. We had actually booked Hotel White Yak, the neighboring property run by the same guys. The owner, his wife, Gaurav, and the rest of the team were the best part of our stay, among the best people in hospitality we’ve met. They served candle light dinner every night, and the buffet had great taste and variety. Appetite can be low in Ladakh, so we ate very lite for the first two days, but from the third day we realized what we’d been missing. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were varied and tasty, with dessert too. This was one of the best experiences of our Ladakh & Kashmir trip. If I come back to Leh, there’s no doubt where I’ll stay. The stay was good, the manager was kind, and the hotel is connected to Leh market. They only had one kettle, and it wasn't clean, so I had to buy one myself.

It's a newly built hotel in Leh city, and the staff were good. The stay was good, though the hospitality wasn't up to the mark. I suggest it for a stay only, since the food wasn't that good.
