After a full day visiting monasteries, mountain passes, and lakes, coming back to The Bodhi Tree's calm, well-run rooms and welcoming shared spaces made a real difference. The staff make a point of helping guests feel at ease, and the property is well maintained, with modern comforts alongside regional character. Mountain views and quiet surroundings give the place a restful feel throughout the stay. It's a lovely base for sightseeing and a place to unwind, with the kind of comfort that can feel like home away from home in Ladakh.

The room setup wasn't especially comfortable for our family of four, particularly with kids aged 11 and 14. We booked a Premium Room for two adults and two children, with a king bed and a sofa lounge. At check-in we were told the sofa would serve as the fourth bed. We stayed five nights at Bodhi Tree, three at the start of the trip and two at the end. The hotel itself is nice, but staff interactions didn't feel premium. On both mornings of our final two nights, I had forgotten to add breakfast to the booking. The first day we'd already started taking buffet food when the restaurant manager repeatedly told us breakfast wasn't included. I said right away that we'd pay, but the exchange kept going and felt awkward. The next morning staff again reminded us several times that “extra charge lagega.” Breakfast was included for the first three nights. The made-to-order eggs, pancakes, breads, and similar items were fine, but much of the buffet seemed cold or stale, about 2/5 for me. À la carte meals were good but pricey, around ₹9k over those three days. The situation with breakfast could have been handled more discreetly.

The staff were consistently attentive, and the two women and one man at reception were especially courteous and welcoming. Ravi at the restaurant deserves a mention for wonderful service that made the visit more memorable. We found the rooms clean and well kept, and the food was amazing. The warmth of the hospitality made this one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and the team exceeded what we expected.

The winter heating made our three-night stay comfortable, and we had a lovely mountain view from our room at Bodhi tree. Staff were polite and greeted us warmly. It was a beautiful stay.

Bodhi was a wonderful stay, with clean, very quiet rooms and an outstanding mountain view. We loved the restaurant, one of the best meals we had in India. Bantu Thakur was a real host, always around to help us choose food and making me feel like a welcome guest. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend it.
