The Kaal

We stayed for four days in the last week of February, and the hotel was well set up for winter with heaters and hot water available 24 hours. We also enjoyed the food, especially the amazing breakfast. It was our second trip to Ladhak and our second time at Kaal hotel. They’ve upgraded all the rooms, and the stay was pleasant as always.

I booked five Executive Rooms with balcony views at Hotel The Kaal for clients from January 18th to 24th. The balcony views over the Leh landscape were a highlight for our group, and the hygiene was spotless. Service was seamless throughout. Stanzin deserves special thanks for his excellent support and attention to detail, which made things much easier for us as travel planners. A reliable, high-quality place to stay in Leh, highly recommended. Service: 10/10. Hygiene: spotless. Balcony views: incredible.

We stayed at The Kaal Hotel on and off for 4-5 days between February 7th and 15th, 2026, with friends. The whole team made our visits feel easy and genuinely welcoming. Anu at reception was warm and efficient each time, handling every request with a reassuring smile. Isha looked after our meals in the restaurant and with late evening in-room dining. She remembered what we liked and made sure the food arrived hot and on time. Bimal and Inder kept our rooms clean, comfortable and well stocked, always with a helpful attitude. The team worked so well together that we felt truly cared for. Our time in Leh was memorable, and we can’t wait to come back.

The hotel is in a peaceful spot, while still conveniently close to the main market and major attractions. The food was delicious, hygienic and well prepared, a real plus at Leh’s high altitude. Our room was clean, spacious and well maintained, and the staff were polite, supportive and ready to help. We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel The Kaal, Leh, and would gladly return. A good choice for families, business travelers and tourists visiting Ladakh.
