Breakfast by the Indus was a highlight, and the food and service from Sunil and team were fantastic. The second-floor study is a lovely little secret, full of sunlight. Our room felt warm and beautiful even when it was cold outside. It’s a quaint kind of luxury right beside the river.

The clear night sky made stargazing unforgettable, and the whole place felt so peaceful. We woke to snow-covered mountains and the Indus River, a magical view. The food was delicious and came straight from the farm, while the hospitality was even better. Thanks to Veeru and Sani for making our stay special. We had a wonderful time and would happily return. 10/10 recommend for a stay in Ladakh.

The village walks were a joy, and Sonam, his family, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We loved the incredible food and their heartfelt hospitality. Dapka House has beautiful views and such a peaceful setting that I didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back. I wish I could give it 10/5 :)

There are lots of ways to spend a quiet hour here: read in the second-floor library, browse the magazines by the entrance, or sit in the outdoor tent and ask Sunny to bring breakfast. It has a table and comfortable chairs. The views are lovely, with Skatna monastery on the hill to your left and the Ladakh range straight ahead. Sonam's family lives next door, and his mother farms there, so some of the vegetables and milk come from their small farm. The air is pure, with little dust and no noise from nearby construction. Parking is open and plentiful, so there’s no need to worry about narrow lanes. Both Airtel and Dakpa House wifi work well. What a place!

Veeru is a great chef, and Manager Sanjay is polite and humble. The hospitality was excellent, the food felt homemade, and the rooms were very comfortable.
