Street dogs wandered freely around Hotel Rangoli, which felt unsafe and unhygienic. The place was chaotic and dirty, and there was no room or toilet cleaning during my stay. When I asked the staff for help, they were dismissive and rude. The room and toilet were filthy and seemed not to have been properly cleaned in ages. There was no ventilation, so the room felt stuffy. They also charged extra to use the geyser. Staff were rude and unhelpful from the moment I arrived, with no professionalism or courtesy. I regretted booking Hotel Rangoli and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even for one night. It's a disgrace to the hospitality industry.

For a night or two, these rooms can be a cost-saving choice. Two adults can stay per room, with a private, clean toilet and shower. Rooms are okay for cleanliness. Lucknow Railway Station and Lucknow Metro are each about a five-minute walk away. A service desk person is present from 7 am to 12 pm. There are security cameras and cold RO purified water around the clock. Check-in and checkout are both at 11 am. The current daily prices for two adults are 800 rupees for a non-AC room and 1200 rupees for an AC room, which cost separately.

The owner, who was also drunk, grabbed one of us by the neck and started a fight, then called for more men to join in. He accused us of breaking the room boards, even though they were already broken before we arrived, apparently just to pick a fight. When we tried to change rooms, the manager didn't help, and when we decided to leave, he wouldn't refund our money. The shower and jet water system were damaged, the room wasn't even average, and the staff were the worst. We eventually tried to leave without a refund. This was the worst experience I've ever had in Lucknow.
