Coorg Mandarin by OYO Rooms

The price at Coorg Mandara Residency is reasonable, but the poor upkeep made the stay uncomfortable. Our non-AC room smelled bad, the beds were dirty, and cleanliness needs a lot of work. Noise also carried between rooms because they aren’t soundproof. Better maintenance and hygiene would make a big difference.

We paid for a Dormitory room, but the hotel gave it to someone else for more money. When we asked what had happened, day shift manager Diksith was arrogant and shouted at us, particularly disrespecting the women in our group. There was no apology, accountability, or solution. It felt like a complete breach of trust for a premium booking. The staff and management were highly unprofessional. 1 star, and I wouldn’t stay until they improve their ethics.

For two days in Coorg, the room and washroom were decent and clean, and hot water was available around the clock. I paid around 2200/- for the two days, so it was affordable. Had a good stay.

The balcony view is lovely, especially for a morning coffee, and the staff were good. At Coorg Mandarin Hotel, rooms are neat and spacious, with a wardrobe. You can book through mmt. The only issue was the connected washroom ventilation, which meant sounds carried from the other room. Otherwise, everything was great.
