The owners gave good service, and they can arrange a campfire if you ask. It’s a small place with a nice ambience and good-tasting food, apart from the breakfast idli, which I’d avoid ordering. It’s a good stay in Coorg, though a little overpriced.

The room was poorly lit, had cockroaches, and there was no power during the day. They didn’t provide towels at first; after repeated requests, we got just one for three people. They also said they couldn’t arrange food for three because the hotel was empty. Finally, one of my favorite green shirts was stolen. Please be careful before booking here.

The property manager helped sort out all kinds of issues and gave us a complimentary bonfire to cheer us up. The bonfire was great, and the service gets five stars from me. The property itself gets zero: there were bed bugs, water dripped from the ceilings, and the geyser didn’t work. Overall, a pathetic stay.

The breakfast situation was ridiculous: apparently unlimited food meant about 350 puris for 50 people, though only 15 of us got to eat. Who knows how hungry we’d need to be to finish that much and leave the other 35 hungry? The tea might be amazing if you don’t mind it being made with spoiled milk. They claim 24-hour water, but the tap seemed fit mainly for washing hands. There were cockroaches in every corner of the room, plus other unusual insects. As for basic human needs, this homestay seems to have its own definition. I couldn’t find a single pro. If you think you’ve found a nice homestay at a reasonable price, think again. The photos show just one room. You’ll regret every moment here.
