Hotel Supreme

The one good point is how close it is to Meenakshi temple. The service staff were lazy and irresponsible, and water leaked from the AC into the shabby, poorly maintained room. There’s no telecom to contact reception, which only adds to the impression that they can’t be bothered. The whole area has lots of hotels and choices, and you’ll find somewhere better in no time.

We took three rooms and checked in at 9:30 a.m. on 8 November 2025. The rooms and corridor floor hadn't been mopped or swept. There was no hot water when we arrived, and we were told it was available from 7:30 to 9 a.m., even though we'd checked in at 9:30. Then the water stopped completely from 3 p.m. Reception kept saying it would be back in 15 minutes, but we didn't get any until 10 p.m. They wouldn't take responsibility, and one staff member said the owner wasn't helping them get water. We still hadn't received the bill three days later, despite being told it would be sent on WhatsApp. The person answering the number on the website was rude and had no manners. We also experienced what seemed like paranormal activity on the third floor, so it felt like the hotel might be haunted. I wouldn't recommend it to any friend.

The location is handy: the Meenakshi temple is a 10-minute walk, the bus stand is five minutes away, and the railway station is very close. Rooms are spacious and comparatively clean, though they're old. Hot water isn't available all day, and the dispensers on each floor were empty, so we had to find water on other floors. The sink taps looked so worn they seemed close to breaking. It was an okay stay, nothing more.

The staff were really rude. When I politely asked to change rooms, they abruptly refused and told me to speak to the manager the next day because they couldn't do anything then. And the room itself was filthy: dust everywhere, stained sheets with a bindi stuck to them and other strange marks, a broken WC seat, and lights that didn't work. The old AC rattled day and night. The place feels like it hasn't been cleaned in generations. This was the worst hotel I've been to, barely a hotel at all. I'd sooner sleep on the street than stay here. Don't come, even if they pay you to spend a night.
