Good value for the money, but there’s a lot that needs work. The bedroom has AC, while the other rooms need better ventilation. Staff should be more polite, and they don’t proactively bring towels or water. The location is good.

This was the worst Oyo stay I’ve had. I’ve stayed with Oyo in major towns and cities across southern India, and this one was terrible. The room felt cramped around the bed, making it hard to get from one side to the other. For about Rs.900 for a single AC room, the quality wasn’t worth even 500. They said there wasn’t room for a table or even a chair. The bathroom was dirty, the wash basin clogged, and there was no soap stand or clothes hanger. There was no hanger in the room either, so I put my used clothes on the bed. They didn’t provide soap or towels even after I asked. On top of that, the staff were hostile. They charged more than the amount shown in the app and asked people who hadn’t paid in advance to pay directly into their bank account instead of through Oyo. It seemed like they were using Oyo and cheating the franchise. Oyo, your stay quality has been declining lately. Fix this or you’ll soon be out of the game.

I booked a week ahead and called Ayyapan, the reception guy, to ask about checking in early. I needed the room from 2am to 6pm, and he agreed. I called again on the travel day to confirm, and he agreed then too. We were with family, so I wanted to avoid any hassle. When we arrived at 2am, he started complaining about what we’d paid, saying, “How could Oyo offer us an AC room at such a cheap rate, 450Rs?” That’s not something to bring up with a customer standing at reception with family in the middle of the night. Then he demanded another 500rs for early check-in. If there was an extra charge, he should have told me when I called to ask. Other hotels have charged based on our stay time, but they’ve told us beforehand. I paid the 500rs because my tired family shouldn’t have to wait around at midnight. Ayyapan shouldn’t be in his current role at this property. I’ve also filed a complaint with Oyo.

They advertise car parking through Oyo, but the space is tiny and only one small car can fit at a time. There’s no lift either. The staff weren’t professional or helpful, they gave no information about Wi-Fi and didn’t even ask for details at check-in. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, and although there was a TV, there was no cable or DTH. Pathetic place.
