Hotel Maharaja Residency

The bathroom mats were dirty, there was a musty smell, and we couldn't get drinking water. No matter how bad your situation is, don't stay here. It feels like all they know is how to loot tourists.

Our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, and we really appreciate that they returned our belongings. We called them, and they quickly found the shop where we'd left our things and arranged to have them delivered to us. maharaja residency is comfortable, good, and near the market. Hotels and people who help guests like this are what anyone would want. We're very grateful for their kindness and help, and send them our blessings.

Prices of Rs.1350, 1500, and 1800 are available. The hotel is neat and well maintained, right near the market place at the entrance of Mahabaleshwar.

The staff were very rude and arrogant, and there’s no in-house restaurant. Power cuts happened often, with no backup, and the only hot water was available from 7 to 9 in the morning. The bathrooms had outdated, nonworking fittings, no geysers, and hard borewell water supplied by tanker instead of fresh municipal water. The rooms were awful: hard beds, stained and smelly linen, bad odors, no windows or ventilation, and TVs that didn’t work. We were moved to other rooms, but the channels there hadn’t been paid for. They charge much more than nearby hotels, too. There’s no parking space. The hotel has only 20 to 30 feet of frontage on the main road, where your car can easily get scratched, and monkeys are a big problem if you try to park there.
