We come back to s k palace whenever we visit mahabaleshwar. The stay is great, and now there are more food choices available through room service too. The staff are friendly, there’s parking, and the hotel is first class. A must-stay for us.
The rooms are in poor condition, and the doors are rotten. The toilet has no lock or handle, and the water from the bathroom tap had earthworms in it. There’s no drinking water provided, so you have to buy it. They also don’t leave shampoo, soap, or handwash in the room. You have to ask at reception, and all they give is a small soap that you’re expected to use for everything. Cleaning seems to mean only mopping the floor, while dirt has built up around the beds and sofas over months. Opening the windows reveals a filthy area beside the hotel. Staff were unfriendly, and hot water was available only from 7 am to 10 am, so there was none after 11 AM.
The location is close to the market road, and I really liked the service. The staff were very supportive during my recent visit.
It’s a budget hotel, but be aware there’s no iron or hair dryer. Hot water is only available from 7.30 am to 9.30 am.
The rooms are in good condition, and the price is low for a spot in the main market area.
