OYO 60824 Hotel Satkar

The food was a real highlight for me: fresh, really tasty, and worth what it costs. Even if you aren't staying here, I'd say give it a try. The staff and manager were friendly, helpful, and polite too. The rooms were the main drawback. Still, it's a family-friendly place with CCTV in many areas and enough parking. It's also a good spot if you want somewhere quieter, away from the bustle. For the price, the service is very good, and I'd consider it for a family trip.

The hotel is handy for the ST stand and market, so it's a reasonable place to stay. I was there for three days in a deluxe room. The staff were well mannered, quick to help, and cooperative. My first room was spacious, with a large bed, but the bathroom door stuck and the bathroom could use some maintenance. Mr. Utekar and the team moved me promptly when I asked. The sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast choices were limited to poha, upma, and sheera, with no South Indian dishes. Also, it's a vegetarian-only hotel. Overall, a good option, though some parts of the property need attention.

The room was basic, but clean enough and did the job. A little more comfort and upkeep would have helped, and the amenities were adequate rather than special. Hotel Satkar could improve both. I stayed one night in Mahabaleshwar with my wife and two daughters. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and owners Vijay Bhai and Santosh Bhai were cooperative. We even got to join Bhau-ji's birthday celebration and were offered cake, which was a lovely touch. The ST stand is about a 10-minute walk away. It's a decent budget stay with some real highlights.

We booked one room in advance for three days, through 1 June, and stayed on 30 and 31 May. After just two days, the owner told our family of five to check out because he wanted to take another family who would pay more. He forced us to leave for the extra money. The room service was very bad, the washroom wasn't good, and the staff treated tourists poorly, especially the owner. A very bad experience for my family. Tourists, please be careful.
