Savoy Village

Mr. Mehul Dhaigude was especially thoughtful when I got sick during our stay. He personally took me to a clinic, helped me get medicine, and asked the kitchen to make lemon tea for my headache and weakness. The food was good throughout, including breakfast, and was well prepared and hygienic. The property is a calm, tree filled heritage place from the British era, about a five minute walk from the market. It stays cool and quiet, with no outside noise. Rooms are decent and comfortable, though not luxurious. A good option for families wanting a professionally managed stay near the market.

A lovely stay in this heritage property. It’s close to the main road and market, and the surroundings have a very pleasant feel. Breakfast was very good, the room and washroom were clean, and the staff were polite and humble.

The rice had two strands of hair in it, and when we pointed that out, the manager was rude and tried to deny what had happened. There was no decency in admitting the mistake. Our Chicken Handi in Kala Masala tasted sour and lacked the KALA MASALA flavor, and the food overall was extremely poor. Service was very slow too. 🤮 If you’re desperate and very hungry, you might consider eating here, or if human hair in your food doesn’t bother you.

We stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the non veg dishes, especially the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Prawns Koliwada, Suka Chicken, Chicken Masala, and Bhakari. It’s a little expensive, but if you try the food, you may like it. Veg food is available too. We didn’t stay overnight, though the rooms looked very good.
