The rooms are large and clean, and room service is good. Since it's a little away from the main markets, there aren't restaurants nearby. The hotel does provide food, but you have to eat in your room because there's no restaurant or separate dining area. Another drawback is there's no tea kettle in the rooms, and morning bed tea arrives well after 7:30.
The only real downside is the setting. It's in a village, quite far from the main Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar road, with few facilities nearby. The lane outside gets very dark at night and didn't feel safe to walk along. Inside, though, it was one of the best budget hotels I've stayed at. We paid just 690 bucks for a huge room with a very spacious bathroom and a balcony overlooking beautiful scenery. Clean room, hygienic bathroom, good breakfast and room service, tasty food, and staff who treated us well. 10/10 for all of that.
The rooms that are finished are really good, and the staff are friendly and cooperative. The hotel in Bhilar is still being completed, though, and breakfast currently has only two or three choices. Hopefully it'll do well once all the work is done.
The food was delicious, especially considering we arrived at 4 pm. It did take quite a while to come, but no offense, we hadn't expected it to be that good.
I stayed here over a weekend with a friend, and I'm really glad we found this place. The prices are excellent, and the food is great too. Definitely worth the cost.
