For a budget hotel, I didn’t expect much. Check-in went well, and I got a large king-size bed with clean linen and a blanket. The bathroom and toilet were medium-sized, with fully working fittings, but the water flow was intermittent on the first day. The room fan was like a propeller and had no control.

The staff were rude and wouldn’t even bring us a blanket after we asked. We spent the whole night in a room full of mosquitoes. Worst hotel experience for me. Not a good hotel.

There wasn’t even drinking water for guests, and you couldn’t get food, snacks, or even tea at the hotel or nearby. The ghat and market are far away, and the rooms weren’t suitable for a family. No windows and no geyser. The owner had misinformed us about the facilities. Blankets, pillows, and bedsheets weren’t cleaned or changed regularly. We had to sleep with the light on because a mouse was running around the room, and we worried about our belongings, especially dry food. Not recommended for a family stay.

When we arrived in the evening, two months after booking, the staff said all the rooms had been given to someone else. They put us in the most neglected room, saying none were available. It had one bed and little else: no mirror, dustbin, bedside table, or TV, and the toilet flush didn’t work. The worst room I’ve ever stayed in. A very bad experience at hotel sangini.

The building is old, with basic facilities, and the rooms don’t get fresh air. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly or being maintained. At a middle-class price, it might do if you have no other option for a late-night stay.
