Hotel SRR Grand

The AAP zoo is right beside the hotel, and the stay was great. The staff were helpful, and the front office made both check-in and check-out smooth. Overall, an amazing stay.

We'd booked rooms and clearly explained what we needed, but when we arrived the reception staff said our allocated rooms had been given to other people. With kids, we struggled that night to find a room that was even somewhat okay. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and there was a strong liquor smell on the floor. A lot of trouble.

The reception looked fine, but the mattresses were awful. They put two cots together and called it a queen size bed, leaving a huge hole between them. The whole floor, every room, and the other areas reeked of alcohol. We even saw a customer vomit inside the lift. It was a hellish stay, unsuitable for families with children or older people. Better to avoid.

The food tasted okay, but the service was very poor. I ordered Pepper Chicken. They took the dish away to heat it, then brought back the same food with some onion added and called it Chinthamani Chicken. That's unacceptable. The staff didn't respond properly and didn't seem to care about customers. I used to visit SRR Grand Hotel often, but after my visit today, I won't return. Others should be careful.
