The Royal Grand

We had a lovely stay, with delicious food and a lift that came in handy. The big, clean room had a stunning river view, and there's a beautiful bridge nearby that's perfect for photos. Huge thanks to Mr Vipin GM and the hospitality team for making everything feel so special. I'd happily recommend the place and come back.

The views from the hotel are so soothing, and the whole stay felt relaxing. Anil ji was especially active, polite, humble, and cooperative. Our driver Sunil ji was just as kind and courteous, and we felt like we were with a family member. He drove very smoothly and knew all the places and locations well. We're glad we chose this hotel.

The service was extremely poor, with roughly 80 rooms being run by only two or three staff. The rooms were unclean, the bed sheets dirty, and the toilets unhygienic. The buffet was charged for every guest, but at least one dish had run out after serving only 20 to 30 people. Our room phone didn't work either. I went to reception twice to ask for a water bottle; they said they'd send it up, but nobody did. There was no room heater. Don't try this hotel, even if the stay is free.

We stayed one day and could see the river and mountains from our balcony, which was amazing. The geyser meant no worries about cold water, and you could get a room heater if needed. Best of all was our driver, Pawan, a genuinely lovely and humble person.
