The outdoor area looked nice, but the rooms were awful, boring, and smelled so bad I had to switch after one night. The bathroom needed cleaning too. This was nothing like the other Mustache brand hostels. The owner wasn’t friendly and didn’t even smile. The location wasn’t good, and the crowd felt cheap. I wouldn’t feel safe here as a woman traveling alone or with a group.

For a budget stay in northern Goa, Mustache has neat, clean rooms, including spacious ones, and good service. The views are nice, and the staff are very friendly, which makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. It’s peaceful and traveler friendly. The dorms are clean, with lockers for every bed and more than one charging point per bed. A good budget option with clean rooms and washrooms.

The layout and interiors are lovely, and the investment in the property really shows. I stayed for two days. It’s quite far from the main beach areas, though, so it may not suit you if you want a crowd, people around, or parties, especially off season. The nearby beaches are about 5 Kms away and much less crowded. When to come depends on what you want: winter for partying, or summer otherwise. Off season there may be very few people, though you might find people working there since it’s a co work space. In season, it gets busy and has a totally different atmosphere. The staff were kind and helpful, but they could have been better. The communication with the manager and others never felt two way. Travelers don’t feel good dealing with people like that. The volunteer didn’t organize activities or even introductions. WiFi didn’t work properly, and the washing machine wasn’t working despite being listed. They did provide a refrigerator, stove, and several other facilities, which is a good deal if you want to cook your own food. These are just my subjective opinions. You’ve built this empire, so you know better than I do.

The terrace balcony has an amazing view, and the property is well maintained. It’s quiet, gives you privacy, and has good food. The beach isn’t far, and the most happening beaches in north Goa are still close enough. If you want some peace away from the chaos, this place is worth a visit. I’d recommend it even to people who usually go straight for a beachfront property. Give it a try, you’ll love it.
