Hotel Prestige

I paid 3200.00 in advance for a family trip to Manglore, and it wasn’t worth it. This felt like a 500.00 room. There were cockroaches, a very dirty fan, a bad smell, and the bed and towels were dirty. The AC suddenly stopped working at night, the toilet door was damaged, and they didn’t provide a bathroom kit or dental kit. We had a very, very bad experience 😭😭😭

The location is convenient, but there’s little else to recommend. This feels overpriced for the service and room condition, especially when better hotels are available at 60-70% of the price. It may have been a great place in the early 2000s, but now the wear and tear is obvious. The rooms need an upgrade and basic maintenance.

I felt unsafe and cancelled my booking. The website I booked through understood and refunded me. Staff acted like moral police, using dirty excuses to stop one occupant in a room from visiting friends or colleagues in their rooms, especially when the guest was a woman. The receptionist was rude and inattentive, too. I later saw most recent reviews were poor and wish I’d checked before booking. My bad.

I’m from Bangalore and visit Manglore twice a month for business, and I’ve stayed at many hotels there. This is the worst one I’ve experienced. I paid 5k for two days, 2.5k per day, but hotels costing 1400-2000 offer much better hospitality and cleanliness. The rooms were filthy, smelled foul, and had cockroaches. None of the switchboards worked for charging my phone or laptop. The bathroom was filthy too, and water came so slowly that filling a bucket would take two hours. Breakfast was dull, not fresh, and served cold. I gave this feedback at reception. Thank you for your outstanding service, Hotel Prestige. I’ll never book here again.
