The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff were friendly. Security was good too, without that fake offer to help just to get money. They’d done proper pest control. Mangaloreans seemed friendlier than people in other parts, with a shared border culture with Kerala. The balcony lost two stars for me: it faces another building, with an open-window tailor center, so the tailors in the next building can always see you.

Krithi, Srikanya, and Abhishek made a huge difference during my stay. They were warm, respectful, attentive to the details, and always ready to help, greeting guests with a smile. That kind of professional service with genuine care made me feel at home. Hotel Shoolin was comfortable, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up to help guests relax. From arrival, it felt more like being welcomed home than checking into a hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mangalore for comfort, care, and wonderful hospitality.

Easy to get to the beach, local markets, and most tourist spots from this city center hotel. The rooms had a lovely feel and all the facilities we needed, and the food was good. Staff were hospitable and courteous, always ready to help. A real delight, and I’d happily come back. Special thanks to the GREs Srikanya, Krithi, Abhishek, and Terence. TYSM for making my stay memorable 😊

Parking is available, and the location worked well for us, about 800m from Mangalore central railway station and within 2 km of two malls. I stayed with family from 12th to 14th Mar 2026. The room, restaurant, and washrooms were clean, and the reception staff were very friendly and polite. We got a lovely welcome and good hospitality. Breakfast was the one problem: the taste was poor and there wasn’t much choice. LPG was an issue during our stay, so I understand it was difficult for the hotel to arrange food, and I appreciate that they still provided breakfast during the crisis. Once it’s over, I hope they improve the taste and selection.

Shoolin Grand has a premium feel, and the location made for a convenient stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony. The staff were well trained, the valet service was good, and the team made us feel very welcome.
