I got there at 10:30 at night with an online booking that I'd already paid for, but they told me every room was full. All three staff members were drinking. After standing around, I figured arguing with them while they were that drunk wouldn't get me anywhere. I had no choice but to walk 2 km to find a rikshaw to another hotel. Never again.
My stay was quite good, though other people may have had different experiences. The staff were friendly when I was friendly with them, and they helped with directions and suggestions for places to go. Maps don't always help, especially when you're looking for food or a bike rental. Their prices were quite reasonable compared with other places.
I paid through oyo, and the person on the phone asked whether I'd paid online or at the hotel. As soon as I said it was online, he hung up and wouldn't answer again. I couldn't find any hotel listed on google maps either. I've complained to Oyo. These kinds of fraudsters drive customers away from oyo.
After I paid online through oyo and arrived to check in, they said all the rooms were full. I was stuck, so I immediately complained to oyo, and they arranged a room at a nearby place. They are fraudsters. Never book this hotel.
Half Moon felt unsafe for a woman. The rooms were small and uncomfortable, and the property wasn't maintained well. It also feels cut off and isn't worth the money. A terrible experience, and I won't return.
