We had a super two-day stay, 2500rs per day on the Agoda app for four people. The front desk helper and the owner were both really sweet. Our round, cave-like room was so cute, with a moon, sun, and star theme. At night there were star-like lights on the ceiling. Great air conditioning, natural light, a small balcony on both sides, a good TV, and a bed spacious enough for three. The teapoy and four chairs were handy for eating. semya irunthuchu room ♥️😍🏖️✨ A few things to know: it’s 8km from city Center and 7km from zudio, rock beach, French colony, unlimited, and easy buy. You’ll need a bike to get around, but the Le apex front desk person can arrange a good, new vehicle for 440rs per day. There’s no lift, so getting to the 3rd floor after a full day around pondy is hard. The room has only AC, no fan, and no bright light, though the themed lighting is awesome.

The bathroom was tiny, basically just the size of the western seat, with no wash basin and low water pressure. The receptionist was very rude, and I felt I had to quietly listen to them. I was scared, but managed to stay for two days. The behavior felt unsafe, unfriendly, and rude.

The owner was kind when we complained and offered another room, but it was just as bad as the first one. Both rooms were old and dirty, with no charm or warmth. We also felt misled about the scooter: he offered to rent it for 700 rupees, which we accepted, then we found scooters around Pondicherry–Auroville for about 350 rupees. We got the impression it was his personal scooter and that he took advantage of the situation. Everything else about the place felt terrible.

It’s a simple, quiet place near auroville, with friendly people and great service. The room isn’t fancy, but there’s a freezer and a kitchen if you want to cook. Let the cooking lady know your lunch or dinner menu in advance and she’ll make it. There’s also an outdoor area to chill or have a drink.
