The man-made lakes, quiet backwater seating, clean beach, and open green spaces made it lovely just to wander around. The property is huge, but it’s laid out thoughtfully, so it still feels peaceful and gives guests room to unwind. The food was another highlight, they were able to make whatever I was craving, and every meal was memorable. What stayed with me most was how much the staff seemed to care. They were warm and attentive, and every interaction felt easy and genuine. The weather can get pretty warm, so keep that in mind. I’m late writing this, but The Alampara Resort left me with a once-in-a-lifetime kind of memory. Highly recommended.

We never ran into a problem during the stay, and everything felt smooth and well looked after. The rooms were beautiful and unusually well detailed, with a really aesthetic feel. The hospitality and service from the whole staff were top-notch. It’s also a great spot for water sports, especially if you’re into nature and adventure.

Raafi and Karthik were especially helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed, and we never had to repeat a request. Shiva’s stargazing was informative too, and he had lots of stories about the constellations. The resort felt unique and was well maintained. We loved the backwaters, beach, man-made lagoons, and watersports, and the staff were so courteous. Couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. Highly recommend!

The setting is so peaceful, a real break from city life, and only a 2.5-hour drive from Chennai and 45 minutes from Pondicherry. The food was delicious, huge thanks to the chef. The owner deserves credit for planning and maintaining such a serene waterfront property. Everyone treated us with kindness and respect. Thanks to Rafique, Karthi, Sakthi, and Sundaram for the watersports service, and to the speed boat guys and housekeeping staff for their warm greetings and care. Alampara gave us such an exotic experience, and we’d happily come back again and again.

There are just four tents here, each nicely set up with a private view of the backwater. With all the trees and birds around, it feels like a memorable stay close to nature. You can do water sports and stargaze at night too. I’d highly recommend it.
