Narwar Lakefront Resort

The safari was the real surprise. We saw two leopards, which is extremely rare, and Prateek, our ranger, was passionate and diligent. His knowledge made it even better. The area feels rich with wildlife and untouched natural beauty. We usually keep our expectations low, so that sighting was genuinely exciting. The views are lovely, boating was fun, and getting there was easy, with excellent roads about two hours from Jhansi. The trip went beyond what we expected.

We had a relaxing trip here. There’s plenty to do around the property, including a kids play area, a beautiful temple, and a night safari the resort arranged for us. Madhav tiger reserve is fairly close, while Kuno is about a two-hour drive. Our lake view cottage was huge, and the bathroom felt luxurious. Breakfast and dinner came as generous buffets, and both the variety and taste were great. The staff were professional and polite, and the resort has lots of space and facilities.

We came for one night and ended up wishing we’d stayed longer. From our Lakeview Cottage Room, the lake looked beautiful, and the jacuzzi facing it made it easy to relax. Sunrise and sunset from the room were especially peaceful. There’s no mobile network, which felt odd at first, but the resort has strong WiFi throughout, so you can still stay connected. Food and drinks were consistently good, and Karan, Sarthak, Ankit and Anchit were friendly, polite, and ready to help. It’s roughly a two-hour drive from Gwalior, and a good spot to get away from city noise. The resort doesn’t serve alcohol, so bring your own if you want a beer or lager at sunset. Jungle safaris and boat rides are available as paid activities. We had a fantastic stay and would come back.

Clean, well kept, and peaceful, with polite staff who were always ready to help. The lake view is lovely, and the thoughtful layout makes it a comfortable place for family time or a quiet break. A beautiful spot to enjoy nature.
