Mashobra Meadows

The biggest problem for us was reaching the Airbnb. It sits below the main street, down a risky lane with very steep slopes. There are walls and projections on both sides and no railings or other support. After rain, it got slippery. I didn't dare walk up to the main road for a stroll, and even our Innova taxi risked getting scratched on the way through. This might work for younger guests, but not seniors with disabilities. We were four senior couples who had booked seven days, but left after three. The owner kindly charged us for just those three days. There were five clean rooms, two downstairs and three upstairs, but two had no attached toilet, which was especially inconvenient for older guests. There was only one TV, in the living room, so we couldn't each watch what we wanted in our rooms. The small balcony couldn't really fit all eight of us, though we could see the sunrise and valley from it. There also wasn't a guard there all the time. One evening we came back to find we had to open the main gate ourselves, and the entrance to the rooms was unlocked.

I've returned to Mashobra Meadows several times, and it keeps drawing me back. The property is peaceful, surrounded by greenery and mountains, and the views are stunning, almost like those at the 5-star Taj Theog resort. Hiking trails start right at the property and head down the valley, which is a big plus for anyone who likes being outdoors. Sri Birochan Sharma and his team are warm and welcoming. He even arranges valet help for drivers who aren't confident with the approach road. It does get narrow, but his driving and the valet service made arriving easy for us. I brought my Volvo and had no trouble parking. We've stayed here with both family and friends. It's spacious, pet-friendly, and worked well for our group. Mashobra Meadows has lovely natural surroundings and a genuinely hospitable feel. Worth a visit for a getaway.

The meals were a real highlight, Cook Geeta made delicious food, and Hema, Sangita, and Roshni kept the place spotless and welcoming. Mr. Berochan was thoughtful and supportive throughout, and helped us feel at home. We had a peaceful stay at Mashobra Meadows, surrounded by nature and beautiful views. The whole visit felt memorable, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break.
