Hotel Paramount

The pool was dirty, with small insects in the water, which felt horrible and unhygienic. The food was tasteless, and the coffee and tea seemed to be made with water and no milk. The staff couldn't manage six people, and their behavior was rude. One person serving food angrily hit a plate down. They were also unsupportive when we needed help. We booked three rooms online for the weekend and paid 3500 per room, but they then asked for 2000 extra to have a DJ. There was no DJ. There was no bathing water either, just buckets brought in, which wasted a lot of time. The whole stay was disappointing. Online, they say one thing and you get something else. Don't waste your money booking from what you see online; go there and book in person.

I brought milk from home for my baby girl and simply asked the staff to warm it, but they demanded extra money. That felt very unprofessional. We had booked two non-AC rooms for a family and friends trip. Neither room's TV worked. When we reported it, they blamed an issue from “outside” and didn't try to fix it. Service was extremely poor, and when we complained, they answered rudely: “abhi de raha hoon, baad me nahi doonga.”

Mr. Arvind ji was especially helpful, polite and available whenever we needed something. His professional, friendly manner kept things running smoothly and made our stay much more comfortable. The rest of the staff were cooperative too, and you can see the team is making an effort to look after guests. The location in Matheran was convenient and peaceful, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We had a very pleasant, comfortable stay. Thanks to Amit and the team for the hospitality. I'd consider staying again and recommend the hotel to others.

The only part we enjoyed was the DJ. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this place. Our group of 15 was given five rooms, but although they charged per person, they supplied only 10 blankets and towels. The rooms and bedsheets weren't clean, and the staff were rude. When we asked for a water bottle, the immediate reply was, “30 rupaye chillar do.” Think before you visit.
