Hotel EMS Mayura

The rooms were neat and comfortable, and my wife, mother and I were only staying for a day. There was a marriage function in the hall when we arrived, so we rested for a while before calling room service for tea and juice. They said it would take 30-40 minutes, which was fine, and we told them to go ahead. One staff member then snapped that they’d already said it would take time, asked why we still wanted to order, and said to cancel because he was tired. I went to reception to complain. The receptionist took us to the service counter, where staff said the workers were tired from the marriage event. I asked for the person who’d spoken to us. His name was Arun. When he arrived, he simply said, “Yes, I said that,” with no apology or explanation. The receptionist and others told us to leave the matter there. They didn’t offer to take the order again or make sure we got proper service. It was a very disappointing, unprofessional response. The room itself was good, but the customer service ruined the stay.

Mrs.Latha at reception was especially caring, almost like a sister to me, and the rest of the staff were friendly too. My room was clean and comfortable, and the location was just right. I had a great stay at hotel mayura and would highly recommend it.

The menu had items that weren't available, and the service was very poor. The food quality was bad too.

The receptionist, who said he was the manager, treated us like we were a burden, as if he were paying for our stay himself. The room was unclean, and the heavily used sheets and pillows had a strong foul smell. This was a terrible, totally unacceptable and unprofessional experience. I’d strongly advise travelers, especially those from outside Tamil Nadu, to avoid this hotel.
