OYO 76181 Hotel Raj Residency

It’s a reasonably good budget hotel, and for the price I found it decent. The bedsheets and pillow covers could be better maintained. It’s on the main road, fairly close to both the airport and railway station. Could be an option if you’re looking for budget accommodation in Chandigarh.

I’ve stayed in hotels a lot over the past six years, and this was my worst experience. I booked an AC room but was given one without AC. Even though the booking was through OYO, they charged me for basic amenities that should have been included. Bottles marked ₹20 cost ₹10 more each. I asked for a GST bill for the extra charges, and they said they’d send it on WhatsApp after taking GST, but it never came. Don’t book here or be tempted by the cheap price.

We booked through Ibibo, but a technical problem stopped the booking from going through. They refused to let us check in and treated us badly, blaming the Ibibo booking and speaking rudely to guests. We paid and stayed anyway, but the geyser and flush didn’t work, and noise from the alcohol shop next door continued all night. I’d never recommend staying here.

This is a newly opened place, so everything was clean and well maintained. The staff behaved well, and the ambience was great and suitable for families. It’s very close to the main locations in chandigarh and Mohali. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting chandigarh or mohali.
