Hotel Pratiksha

Cleanliness stood out during our stay. The rooms were good, with nice attached bathrooms, though the TV was about the size of a desktop monitor. It's an older property, but it's maintained. I gave it three stars because the hotel sits inside a busy market. Parking is available, but you have to drive through that crowded market to reach it.

Getting to the hotel can be a challenge in Moradabad. Coming from Delhi, you may have to take narrow, busy roads, and the railway flyover near Sai Hospital needs to be covered to get there. Once there, everything was okay: the rooms, cleanliness, service, and parking availability. The geyser worked during my winter visit.

The approach roads are narrow, but the property itself is large and right in the heart of the city, near the railway station. Parking is available, and the rooms are spacious enough and clean. Room service is available too, and even the corridors were clean.

I paid 1400Rs for a room on 24th November, and it was cold. They promised hot water from a central plant, but when I ran the left tap as instructed, no warm water came. The tap ran the whole time until my tea arrived. I called reception and no one answered or called back, so I went down two floors to ask in person. The receptionist asked why I hadn't called earlier. I had a 10am train to catch the next morning. I ordered tea at 6am, but it didn't arrive until 7:45. At 8:15, a man brought the newspaper and said a tap on the plant had been shut, and the hot water would come in a few minutes. No toothpaste or soap was provided, and they declined my request for an extra towel. At 8:30, I washed my hair in cold water and left to catch my train.
