Coir Village Lake Resort

Sitting on the balcony was a real treat, with a pretty backwater view and locals passing by in boats. There’s lots of greenery, the room has its own fast Wi-Fi, and the staff were very polite and hospitable. They even bring your food over by boat. Since there are no bridges between the islands, you have to depend on the boat service to get back and forth. The rooms are decent, though the bathrooms are old and need renovation. The resort is also quite remote, around 30 km from the main city, and with no signboards or landmarks, I kept wondering if I was on the right route until I reached it.

Waking up beside the river each morning was so refreshing, and the whole place felt beautiful and peaceful. Our room was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were lovely and did more than we needed. They even made us a special last-day lunch with locally caught fish, which was great. We stayed for a week and wished we could have stayed longer. The treatment was excellent, and we had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely come back.

After 12 days, I’d lost 6 kg, was more flexible, slept better, and felt good. I came for weight loss and detox, and the doctors, therapists, and staff kept me strictly on track with therapy, food, and yoga. They made me feel like extended family, and I’m grateful for all their support on my wellness journey.

The rooms are shabby for what they charge. The shower has terrible pressure, and getting hot water feels like a luxury. The staff, though, are very helpful and punctual. Their behavior makes the experience somewhat better.
