Deshadan Backwater Resort

We’ve stayed at DBR three times now and keep enjoying it. It’s easy to relax in the quiet, whether in a hammock or by the pool, with the gardens and lake views around you. The rooms are comfortable, the food is superb, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. They can also arrange boat trips across the lake, an overnight houseboat stay, or a trip to Marmari Beach. The massages were excellent and very professional. We’ve always had a perfect stay and highly recommend it.

The biggest problem was the mosquitoes. There were so many in the evening and at night that it was uncomfortable both indoors and outside, and proper control seemed to be lacking. That really affected the stay, especially at a resort people come to for relaxation. The location itself is quiet and away from city noise, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. A few small maintenance improvements would make the experience better.

Breakfast had a good selection, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were very clean, and the location worked perfectly for us. The team did a lot to make sure we were comfortable, so it was a fantastic stay. Thanks to team Deshadhan for making it memorable. We’ll definitely be back.

Our lake view room at Deshadan Backwater Resort, Alleppey, was beautiful, and the peaceful setting was well maintained. The food was great, with plenty of variety, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it for the backwater views.
