The hostel has a great vibe, and I had a very good stay. It's clean and affordable, and the staff were polite and provided all the essentials. There's a restaurant inside with good food, plus a game zone that's open 24 hours and has lots of games. You can definitely stay here.

What made Forrest Hostels feel welcoming was the staff. They were polite, attentive, and always ready to help. The dormitory was also spotless and well cared for, which made it feel comfortable and hygienic. With that clean environment and genuinely good hospitality, it was a pleasant, stress-free stay. A reliable choice for anyone who values cleanliness and friendly service.

The small cafe has good food at affordable prices, though service takes time. The hostel itself is a lovely little space in the Bandra region, tucked inside a small, crowded street, with entry secured by a pin. Its forest theme uses reused vehicle parts, and hats off to the artists behind the concept and ambience. I love tiny spaces, so I felt very comfortable there. Good service and strict rules too 😃.

As a young female traveler, I wouldn't go here. The entrance is down an alley in a fish market, which isn't really mentioned, and it felt unsafe for women. Inside, the whole place smelled like poo and was warm, sticky, and humid, with not one window. The water fountain was marked as drinking water, but it was filled from the tap. Everyone in our group got extremely unwell. The vibe was very weird, with men working on laptops dominating the hostel. It seemed like the workers slept there and took over the whole place during the day. Probably one of the worst hostels I've stayed in.

The social atmosphere is a big part of Forrest Hostel Bandra's appeal. It feels friendly and a little artsy, more like a community, with clean, comfortable, well-maintained dorms and common areas for meeting people or relaxing. Staff are approachable and helpful with local tips. The Tangerine room is one of the best, even though it's a mixed dorm, and the washrooms are among the city's best for hygiene and cleanliness. It's in Bandra East near Government Colony, with good connections around Mumbai and Bandra's lively scene. The price is budget-friendly, and it's a handy base for travel, work, or both. Expect some noise from the social setting and limited privacy, as you'd expect in a hostel. A couple of practical things: the nearby fish market may smell at first, though you don't notice it once inside. There's no car or bike parking, so bringing a vehicle is at your own risk. For drinking water, they provide reusable plastic cups for the dispenser, and guests sometimes leave them after a few sips. That can feel unhygienic, though it's more about guest awareness than staff. Bring your own bottle or get sealed mineral water from the café. A good affordable option if you want a friendly place to meet travelers from around the world.
