Grand Hotel

This is an older hotel, though it still has charm, and its quiet, convenient location worked well for my first trip to Mumbai. The staff were helpful whenever I called about the Wi-Fi dropping, and they kept trying to sort it out. My room was one of the nicer fourth-floor ones, with a balcony, but the lift only reaches the third floor. The staff helped with my luggage. I skipped breakfast at the hotel. Next door there's a coffee shop with delicious food, though it's very busy because it's good.

The old Art Deco building is close to the Gateway to India and the famous museums, in an area that's fairly quiet by Mumbai standards and surrounded by historic buildings. Our room was spacious and clean, with fresh towels each day. The staff were friendly and helped us check in and store our luggage before our flight. Breakfast had plenty of choice, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I'd stay at the Grand Hotel again if I'm in the area.

The rooms are great for the price, and the staff were helpful. The location is okay, quieter at night but much louder on weekdays because it's by the docks. Hot water wasn't always available, as other reviews have mentioned. My key card also gave me trouble every day. It was a minor annoyance, but no other hotel I've stayed at has had that problem.

The female staff at the main desk made a real difference to my stay at Grand Hotel Mumbai. I spoke with the woman at reception, and she was especially caring and involved in her work. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and looked after. Her attention to detail, calm efficiency, and proactive help set a high standard. As a woman traveling, feeling safe and respected matters a lot, and she made me feel that way with real grace and confidence. Thank you for making sure guests feel supported throughout their stay. I'll return, and I'd recommend the hotel especially to women traveling for work.
