Hotel Ajanta Juhu near Juhu Beach

The location is the one good thing here. The building is old and might be difficult to renovate, fair enough, but everything else disappointed me. For Rs 5000 + GST per night, with check-in at 2 PM, I expected better. Even Lemon Tree at ₹4000 offers more comfort, cleaner rooms, decent breakfast, and staff who care about service. There was no toothpaste, toothbrush, or basic washing items. The shower was an old plastic one, and the water came out like it was from a punctured balloon. Even the dustbin was dirty, which is basic hygiene. Breakfast was underwhelming: paratha, pav bhaji, and idli, all too spicy, with tea loaded with sugar. The restaurant staff showed no basic etiquette. I asked for bread in the breakfast basket and told the waiter to bring it when available, but he disappeared. When I found him later, he casually said, “Self service hai Sir.”

Nana Patekar's role was filmed in one of the rooms here in 1991 for the movie 'Prahar'. It's a popular hotel, but seeing the negative customer reviews has left me really disappointed.

I booked this hotel for 15 days. Before arriving, I called several times to confirm a few things, but nobody picked up. Worst service ever. Do they not have a receptionist to answer calls?

I only stayed one day, and that was enough. The hotel is old, poorly cared for, and its stupid rules made me uncomfortable.
