Hotel Amber Palace

At 2am we asked the staff to change the dirty bedding, and they told us to go away. We had nowhere else to go. Breakfast wasn’t ready until 8 either. The rooms were full of cockroaches and looked like they’d never been cleaned. The toilets were filthy, and there were no kettles, glasses, toilet paper, or towels. The facilities were nonexistent, and the Google pictures showed something completely different. Please don’t book this place.

The food tasted great, and the rooms were neat and comfortable. The service was the best too.

We arrived to find they’d put us in a horrible 7.5m room, even though I’d reserved and paid for a 16m room four days earlier. They said it was the last room available that day. The toilet was very dirty, and the bin was full and smelled awful. I’d paid 3220rs for one room and was given another, then had to pay 30rs for a bottle of water. A very bad experience, by far the worst hotel in India we stayed in.

The room was a bit small, and breakfast didn’t have much variety. Still, the food was fresh, hot, and really tasty. There’s a tea and coffee maker in the room, and toiletries are provided. The staff were super friendly and supportive. It was clean and well maintained, with a great ambience. You can walk to Sakinaka metro station, and the price is worth it. A very good place to stay.
