Hotel Blue Sapphire Residency By OYO Rooms

The room at Hotel Blue Sapphire Residence was disgusting and very unhygienic. I could feel insects crawling on me while I slept, and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I booked through Agoda, but they wouldn't even take my complaint after I sent pictures. Look at the photos and you'll see what you get in Andheri, Mumbai. Please don't use them unless you want to get sick. It was the worst stay ever.

I booked through Booking.com, and the room photos on the profile don't match what you actually get. The building has no lift, and cleanliness is poor, especially in the toilet. Very disappointing. For future bookings, try sorting reviews by “Latest” or checking “Guest Photos.” Staged professional pictures can hide plenty that a traveler's phone camera will show.

The bathroom was shabby, the side table sticky, and there were drips on the walls. Worst of all, I found a used condom behind the toilet seat. The room was so dirty that we left right away. The hotel is in a small lane in the slums, with many men sitting at reception, which was especially embarrassing since my wife had booked it for us. I don't know how it has a 3 star rating. We asked for a refund, but the receptionist first refused, saying they don't refund. After five minutes of arguing, he paid us back. When we asked the cleaner if there were other rooms, he said the others were more pathetic. Please check the location or visit before booking, especially if you're with a woman.

I'd personally avoid this hotel if possible, and never book it through oyo. The rates were extremely high, like a 3-4 star place, without services to match. Guest treatment was unprofessional, and my pillow cover was unclean and unhygienic. The experience was subpar and disappointing.
