Hotel Empire - Near International Airport

The lobby was well maintained and looked pleasant, and the location was convenient, in the heart of the city with easy access to shops and attractions. But when I checked in, the front desk staff seemed a little indifferent and less accommodating than I expected. They didn’t seem very warm or tell me about the hotel facilities or nearby places. My stay at Hotel Empire was quite average.

At 3000Rs/night, I expected basics like clean sheets and working facilities, even for a budget hotel. Instead, the sheets and towels had big obvious red and yellow stains, there was leftover hair, the lights were broken, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. After I insisted, staff replaced them with more dirty laundry. I eventually got moved to a room with only leftover hair and a rattling bathroom ventilator, but I didn’t enjoy the rest of my stay.

There’s a ground nearby, so it can be a little noisy, and the room is small. The staff were really helpful and behaved very nicely, which earns five stars from me. It’s a steal deal at this price, and a decent affordable stay. The location works especially well if you need to catch flights, and Marol metro is very close if you’re travelling by metro.

There were mosquitoes around, but when we asked, we got repellent. Water ran 24 hours, and the room was clean and good for a stay. The hotel had a family environment and is three minutes on foot from Marol Naka metro station. It’s close to the airport, and we paid INR 2500 for a double bed room without breakfast.
